SUCCI/OASA Student Leadership Award

The Student Leadership Graduate Award is awarded, when appropriate, to a graduating student who demonstrates exceptional leadership skills, is a positive role model and has effected change with integrity, compassion and understanding. The successful recipient fosters leadership, growth in others and has assisted students and the college to advance their goals.

Selection Criteria
To receive the Student Leadership Graduate Award, the candidate may possess either formally or informally:

• a strong record of leadership demonstrated through personal development, organizational leadership, citizenship, or community building
• success in mentoring to peers
• the ability to instill confidence and encourage leadership growth in others through belief and encouragement
  
• the ability to demonstrate affirmative role modeling
• a record of making a sustainable impact on students, SUCCI, OASA, the college, or the college system
• the commitment to making a difference
• a quality of character that embodies core values that merit recognition
• the ability to impact the success of projects or programs through individual contributions
• intrinsic motivation as evidenced by leadership and action

Nomination Process
Nominations will be requested from the internal college community.  A selection will be made by the Student Services and Academic Leader Team.
