CLASS PRESIDENT'S
JOB DESCRIPTION

The Class President's role is to act as a liaison between the Student and the Student Union Board of Directors. The Student Union has important information that needs to be conveyed to the students who make up its membership. The students have essential information and needs that are required by the Board of Directors to ensure that the Board is effectively representing their membership

The Class President System is set up to maintain a mechanism for feedback regarding issues of concern or importance from the Student Population to the Board of Director and Administration of SUCCI. Regular Divisional Meetings are scheduled and chaired by the Senator of each division to facilitate this system. Class Presidents are selected or appointed by their class/program.

RESPONSIBILITIES

To attend all divisional meetings scheduled by the Senator of their division.

Communicate concerns, ideas and suggestions from their respective class at the divisional class representative meetings.

Relay information and discuss with their class, upcoming activities, services, events and current issues affecting student.

Meet to discus potential Student Union activities, services and issues affecting the Student Body.

A Class President is beneficial for programs because they increases the spotlight on programs, endorse program events, establishes opportunities for classes fundraising, and creates an enjoyable learning environment.

A Class President is beneficial for a student because it builds on valuable life skills such as social skills and leadership skills, which improves a resume and increases a student chance for receiving scholarships and bursaries.
